COLLECTION/PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION

What is a Collection/Portfolio Submission?
This is a group (5-10) of photographs or poems submitted that are conceived as part of a coherent series. Editors need to be able to see clear thematic, technical, or formal unity. A submitted collection should be by a single author.

Collection/Portfolio submissions are judged according to higher technical and aesthetic expectations. You are asking for your works to be incorporated as a complete series. An issue of Light may only have room for a few Collections by talented artists and authors. If we cannot justify reproducing your Collection entirely, we might offer to publish an abridged selection of your work.

Requirements

Black and White photography is preferred, but color may be considered. Images must be a minimum of 10" at the longest side with a resolution of 300dpi in JPEG format.  Images sent that do not meet these requirements cannot be considered.

Submission

Step 1. Prepare a brief biographical statement
Step 2. Create a single compressed .zip file which includes 5-10 individual photographs. 
               Title your file COLLECTION_LAST NAME_FIRST NAME.zip

Step 3. Fill out the submission form below and attach your file to the form

POETRY

 Requirements

 Please be sure each poem is no longer than 40 lines and fits within a single printed page. Consider whether all your poems respond to the issue's theme.

 Submission

Step 1. Prepare a brief biographical statement
Step 2. Create a text document (.doc, .docx, .wpd, .rtf, or .txt) which includes 5-10 poems 
               (one page per poem please)
                Please include your name and contact information on every page and title your file:
               COLLECTION_LAST NAME_FIRST NAME.txt 

Step 3. Fill out the submission form below and attach your file to the form

IMPORTANT | Please be sure to combine all files in your collection as one single .zip file. Please insure the file is no larger than 10mb in size.
